“The players who separate themselves are the ones who put in the extra work — not only during practice, but when no one is watching.”
Coach Dennis Everson II, also known as "Coach D2," brings six years of coaching experience and counting, working with athletes ranging from 10 to 18 years old. As a former multi-sport athlete, Coach Everson II learned early that dedication, discipline, and hard work done the right way will always put you in a position to succeed.
Coach Everson II attended Travis High School before graduating from Foster High School in Richmond, Texas. During his high school years, he competed in football, baseball, and basketball, eventually choosing to pursue his passion for baseball at the collegiate level.
He continued his baseball career at Mountain View College in Dallas, Texas, where he played for one season before transferring to Wiley University, where he competed for two additional years. Unfortunately, an injury forced him to end his playing career earlier than expected.
After his playing days, Coach Everson II returned home and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (Kinesiology). His education helped him develop a strong understanding of sports psychology, injury prevention, and athletic performance.
Coach Everson II takes pride in teaching athletes the importance of taking care of their bodies while maintaining strong mental health. Through his playing experience and the knowledge he has gained from scouts and former high-level players, he understands what it truly takes to compete and succeed at the next level.
Coach Everson II emphasizes discipline, consistency, and attention to detail both on and off the field. He believes that the players who separate themselves are the ones who put in the extra work — not only during practice, but also when no one is watching. His goal is to help athletes develop the habits, mindset, and work ethic needed to succeed not only in baseball, but in life beyond as well.
